This racing game pretty much sums up my attitude towards modern video games. Forget polygons rendered per second, hi-def output and procecessor speeds. Give me a game that is just plain F-U-N. Mario Kart is full of pure joy flying around these tracks and knocking over opponents with a well-timed red shell or banana. The racing is fast and furious, and even if you're in last place, you're almost never out of contention. The game really show its brilliance when playing together with a bunch of friends in the same room, where the interaction between the players on screen and off ups the enjoyment a notch. Online play is fun too and it's amazing to see how competitive one can get when playing against strangers.

I think that anyone who owns a Nintendo DS would love this game. Heck, it should just come with the system.
