This is one of those albums that gets associated with memories of good times, and gets judged partly on those terms. For me, it's summer 1996, and I'm in Parken Stadium in Copenhagen (with about 40,000 others) at the concert in support of this album. Bryan is the toast of the town, as he's dating a local girl (a Bond girl no less), and the Danes love him for that. That's on top of the already puzzling popularity he has in Europe (which Bon Jovi also seems to enjoy). Sure, this album has goofy song titles, shallow lyrics, and cliches aplenty, but I can put this CD on and a smile still come to my face, and that's not to be underestimated.
